Software

The set of instruction which is used to control computer hardware is called program whereas the set of program is called software.

कंप्यूटर को चलाने के लिए यूजर द्वारा दिए जाने वाले निर्देशों का समूह एक प्रोग्राम कहलाता है जबकि बहुत सारे प्रोग्रामों मिलाकर बनाया गया प्रोग्राम सॉफ्टवेयर कहलाता है

सॉफ्टवेयर मुख्यतः तीन प्रकार के होते हैं
1- सिस्टम सॉफ्टवेयर System Software

2- एप्लीकेशन सॉफ्टवेयर Application Software

3- युटिलिटी सॉफ्टवेयर Utility Software

Application Software

Application software is developed for a specific task. The user use directly to the application software.

ऐसे सॉफ्टवेयर जो किसी विशेष कार्य के लिए विकसित किये जाते है एप्लीकेशन सॉफ्टवेयर कहलाते है और यूजर इन्हें डायरेक्टली उपयोग कर सकता है

सिस्टम सॉफ्टवेयर एप्लीकेशन सॉफ्टवरों को कार्य करने के लिए सुविधाएँ प्रदान करता है और इन सॉफ्टवेरों को उपयोगकर्ता डायरेक्टली उपयोग नहीं करता है अर्थात ये सॉफ्टवेर एप्लीकेशन सॉफ्टवेयर द्वारा उपयोग किये जाते है सिस्टम सॉफ्टवेयर में खराबी आने या उनकी अनुपस्थिति में एप्लीकेशन सॉफ्टवेयर भी काम करना बन्द कर देते है

Utility Software

Utility software is designed to help analyze, configure, optimize or maintain a computer. It is used to support the computer infrastructure in contrast to application software. Utility software is not considered part of the operating system.

युटिलिटी सॉफ्टवेयर को कंप्यूटर का विश्लेषण, कॉन्फ़िगर, या अनुकूलन बनाए रखने में मदद करने के लिए डिज़ाइन किया गया है। यह एप्लिकेशन सॉफ़्टवेयर के विपरीत कंप्यूटर इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर का समर्थन करने के लिए प्रयोग किये जाते है। युटिलिटी सॉफ्टवेयर ऑपरेटिंग सिस्टम का हिस्सा नहीं माना जाता है।
